E-Commerce Management Projects
Manchester Storm — E-Commerce & Retail POS Implementation
A business-first retail technology project for Manchester Storm Ice Hockey, connecting online merchandise operations with a physical retail outlet at AO Arena, Manchester.
I led the implementation of the inventory and retail technology ecosystem, creating new operational workflows, sourcing and installing the retail hardware, and overseeing the launch of the POS system for live ice hockey games at the arena. The project created a connected stock operation across warehouse, e-commerce, finance and physical retail teams.

I led the introduction of a new inventory management system and developed the operational workflow required to connect online and physical retail stock. This included defining processes for warehouse teams, finance and retail staff to ensure stock movements, sales and inventory data could be managed consistently across channels.
A 360° inventory approach gave the business a single view of stock across e-commerce and the physical retail environment, helping reduce discrepancies, improve stock visibility and make better decisions around replenishment, allocation and availability.
The workflow also created clearer ownership between teams, helping streamline stock transfers, fulfilment, retail sales and financial reporting while reducing the risk of overselling or holding stock in the wrong location. -
I identified the hardware requirements for the AO Arena retail operation, researched and sourced the appropriate equipment, and led the installation and setup of the POS hardware and software.
This included considering the complete customer journey. From the physical POS equipment and payment experience through to how the technology would look and feel within the retail environment.
Branding was considered across every customer touchpoint, ensuring the hardware installation felt like an extension of the Manchester Storm Store brand rather than simply a functional retail system.
The result was a purpose-built POS environment capable of handling high-volume event trading while integrating with the wider stock and e-commerce operation. -
I led the launch of the new POS operation at AO Arena, putting the new hardware, software and operational workflows through their first major live event.
The system supported merchandise sales to up to 9,000 Manchester Storm fans during a single hockey game, providing the retail team with a reliable POS operation capable of handling significant customer demand within a concentrated trading window.
The launch generated record-breaking merchandise retail sales for an ice hockey event, demonstrating the scalability of the new retail infrastructure and providing the business with a new connected model for managing merchandise across physical and online channels.
The Weeknd World Tour — Shopify Merchandise Click & Collect Store
A rapid-turnaround Shopify e-commerce launch for Universal Music Group, supporting The Weeknd's 2026 World Tour merchandise at Strawberry Arena, Sweden.
Working to a highly compressed one-week timeframe, I was responsible for designing, configuring and launching the fan merchandise store for artist management approval. The project required a combination of Shopify Plus expertise, front-end web design, Liquid theme customisation, market configuration and retail POS implementation.
Website design can be viewed here.

With only one week available from project brief to artist management approval and launch, I used my experience across Shopify and Shopify Plus to structure the project, prioritise requirements and manage the available time and resources effectively.
Working within the existing Shopify ecosystem allowed me to move quickly through store configuration, content implementation, testing and launch preparation while maintaining the level of detail required for a major global artist brand.
The project demonstrated my ability to work under significant time pressure while balancing technical requirements, brand guidelines, stakeholder feedback and launch-critical functionality. -
I designed and implemented the storefront around The Weeknd's World Tour merchandise brand guidelines, creating a minimal and highly controlled visual experience designed to remain consistent with the wider tour identity.
The design requirements often went beyond standard Shopify theme settings, requiring me to use my knowledge of Liquid theme code and front-end customisation to modify and fine-tune specific elements of the storefront.
This included custom typography and font positioning, precise layout adjustments and removing unwanted default Shopify elements — including the trailing ".00" from product prices — to achieve the exact visual presentation required by the client. The result was a cohesive merchandise store that combined Shopify's underlying functionality with a highly specific visual direction tailored to the artist and tour.
-
The store was required to operate exclusively as a click-and-collect service for fans in Sweden, with merchandise ordered online and collected at Strawberry Arena.
I configured the relevant Shopify settings, market and geographic restrictions to ensure the store could support the required Swedish customer journey while preventing orders from outside the intended market.
I also implemented the required POS software for the arena retail team, creating the operational connection between online orders, physical stock and collection at the venue.
This allowed arena staff to manage merchandise inventory and fulfil customer collections on-site, creating a connected e-commerce and physical retail operation for the tour.
EU Withdrawal Function — Multi-Store E-commerce Compliance
A multi-store e-commerce compliance project responding to the introduction of the EU's new digital withdrawal function requirement under Directive (EU) 2023/2673.
I identified the upcoming requirement through industry and e-commerce forums and researched the implications for our portfolio of D2C websites selling to customers across the EU.
I then presented an implementation plan to senior stakeholders and led the project from initial planning through to technical implementation, testing and launch.
The objective was to create a clear digital withdrawal journey for eligible EU customers while ensuring the resulting requests could be received, recorded and actioned efficiently by the relevant internal teams.

Identifying a new regulatory requirement and turning it into a practical e-commerce solution.
I proactively identified the upcoming EU withdrawal-function requirement through industry and e-commerce forums before the 19 June 2026 application date. The requirement introduced a digital withdrawal function that must be clearly visible, easily accessible and continuously available during the applicable withdrawal period.
I researched how the requirement could affect our portfolio of D2C websites and presented a proposed implementation plan to senior stakeholders.
From there, I led the planning of the customer journey and mapping how a customer would discover the withdrawal function, submit their request and receive confirmation, while ensuring the process connected logically with the existing returns and customer-service workflows. The project required balancing regulatory requirements with a simple, intuitive customer experience across multiple e-commerce stores.
-
I led the implementation across the relevant client websites, working through the technical requirements needed to make the withdrawal function operate as an end-to-end process rather than simply adding a button to the storefront.
The customer-facing journey was connected to the backend workflow so that withdrawal requests could be captured and automatically notify the appropriate internal team members for review and action.
I mapped the process from customer submission → request notification → order identification → internal processing, ensuring the relevant teams had the information required to manage each request efficiently. This approach created a repeatable solution that could be implemented across multiple D2C websites while maintaining a consistent customer experience and internal process.
-
I coordinated the rollout across the relevant websites that sell directly to EU customers, testing the customer journey and backend notification workflow before launch.
The implementation was successfully completed ahead of the 19 June 2026 application date, ensuring the relevant stores had the required digital withdrawal functionality in place for applicable EU consumer contracts. The project demonstrated my ability to take ownership of an emerging e-commerce requirement, translate regulatory information into a practical technical solution, gain stakeholder approval and deliver a multi-store implementation from discovery through to launch.
International Print-on-Demand & E-commerce Expansion
Partnered with international print-on-demand (POD) production companies to help clients expand their merchandise offering into international markets while improving fulfilment times and reducing the need to ship products from the UK.
The project involved implementing multiple international storefronts and market-specific product catalogues, as garment availability differed between regions.
I researched and selected locally stocked garment options where possible, allowing products to be produced closer to the customer. This helped reduce production and delivery times while also reducing the distance products needed to travel.

I worked at a detailed operational level to understand the requirements of different international markets, including import duties, tariffs, customs requirements and country-specific importing regulations.
This involved working closely with POD partners and warehouse teams to ensure products were correctly created and categorised within our e-commerce systems.I implemented processes around HS codes, product categorisation, country-of-origin information and customs data, ensuring the correct information was available for international shipments and our courier's fulfilment requirements.
I also considered the commercial impact of importing merchandise from the UK into different territories, ensuring that international customers received clear and workable fulfilment solutions while the business could manage the associated duties and customs requirements.
The result was a scalable international e-commerce and fulfilment model that allowed multiple client websites to sell merchandise globally, using local production, market-specific products and more efficient fulfilment routes.
